Hi Stampers!

Running a little late, but here is another card for you to try.  This is a great card to use for many different occasions.  By using different colors and embossing folders, you can create very different looks.  Imagine using nice vintage colors, distressing the edges and using a lovely rose for the image.  Here you go, directions below.

Blue Cardstock Base 8 ½” x 5 ½”
Blue Cardstock 1st Mat 4 ¼” x 3’
Blue Cardstock Top Mat 4” x 2 ¾”

Embossing Folder – Tulip Frame or other frame embossing folder
Oval Punch – two sizes
Ribbon
Sentiment Stamp

Coloring pens, pencils or inks

1.     Stamp or print image and color.
2.    Punch or die cut the larger oval out of the top most mat (the smaller mat) centering from side to side and top to bottom.
3.    Punch or die cut smaller oval in the Mat Cardstock (1st Mat) – Carefully place the top mat (already punched) over the second larger mat, line up sides and top.  Either draw a gentle pencil line or place the oval die right on the bottom cardstock placing equally from side to side and top to bottom with the oval shape you have already cut. Tape die in place and cut out the smaller oval.
4.    Glue the colored image on the backside of the larger mat (smaller oval shape). Layer the top mat over the bottom mat and adhere with foam squares to create depth.
5.     Emboss the white cardstock and glue it to the cardstock base. Glue the blue cardstock section centered on the white cardstock.
6.    Tie a bow and glue it to the bottom of the oval frame.
7.     Stamp a sentiment, punch with smaller oval punch.
8.    Punch a larger oval to mat the sentiment pieces.  Glue them together and slip them between the two mats, glue in place.

There are so many different cards you can create with this tutorial. Try different colors of cardstock, patterned papers, different images and ribbons.  Most of all, have fun!

Hi Stampers!
Once a week, I will be sharing a new card for inspiration and ideas.  When you need a card in a hurry, grab one of these ideas from my Blog and have crafting fun!

I have a very pretty card to share with you today.  This is a card we did in my last card class. It has lots of possibilities as far as changing colors, using different embossing folders or patterned paper and choosing a stamped or digi image. In this card, the image was printed, colored and fussy cut using scissors.  If you don't like doing all that scissoring, you can stamp the image onto the oval cardstock and color as shown in the example below.
